(ManualTransmission)
Manualtransmissionswillalsohavea
clutchpedalsituatedtotheleftofthe
brakepedal.Pressingdownonthe
clutchpedalwilldisengagetheclutch
andwillallowthetransmissiongears
tobeshifted.
Atthebeginningofthepedalstroke,
therewillbeabout½inch(13mm)of
movementbeforeanyresistanceis
felt.Asthepedalispressedfurther,the
operatorwillfeelincreasedresistance
astheclutchisdisengaged.After
theclutchhasbeenfullydisengaged,
therewillbeanother1-11/2inches
(25-40mm)ofpedaltravelwhichwill
engagetheclutchbrake.Atthisfull
stroke,thepedalwillfeellikeitcannot
bepressedanymore.
Ifthetransmissionisnotshifting
smoothlyintogearwhiletheclutch
pedaliscompletelypressedtothe
oor,thenitistimetohavetheclutch
andhydraulicsysteminspectedand
serviced.
CAUTION
Donotpushtheclutchpedal
completelytotheoorwhenshifting
whilethevehicleisinmotion.using
theclutchbrakewhileshiftinga
vehicleinmotionwilldamagethe
clutchbrake.Anonfunctioning
clutchbrakewillmakeshifting
verydifcultwhenthevehicleis
stationary.
Iftheclutchpedalispressed
completelytotheoorandthe
transmissionisnotshifting,thenitis
timetohavetheclutchadjustedor
serviced.

understandingtheshiftpatternand
itslocation,youshouldreadthe
transmissionmanufacturer’smanual
providedwithyourvehiclebefore
