Fitting Torque Non-Metallic Valves

The non-metallic materials for valve assemblies such as the MV-1, MV-2 and TC-7

require significantly less torque (approximately 50%) to properly seal fittings than

comparable metal die cast bodies.

The use of excess torque will fracture non-metallic bodies. It is recommended that a

maximum torque of 10 FOOT POUNDS should not be exceeded. Torque information is

noted on non-metallic bodies.
